Carlsbad City Library depends upon patron support to provide high-quality programs and services. There are several ways to help:

Donate time

The Library has many opportunities for those who would like to donate their time. See volunteer opportunities for details.

Donate materials and money

Books, magazines and other appropriate materials can be dropped off at any Carlsbad City Library location during open hours or left in the donation bins. Monetary donations to the Library are always welcome. See donations for details.

Become a Friend

The Carlsbad Friends of the Library is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that is dedicated to raising funds to support ongoing programs at the Carlsbad City Library. See Friends of the Library for details on how to join or to learn more about the Friends Bookstore and book sales.

Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation

The Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to seek, cultivate and provide financial support for the library and art facilities and programs in order to promote lifelong learning and cultural enrichment in the community. Attend a Foundation event or make a financial contribution to the Foundation.

Board of Trustees

Five community members serve on the Library’s Board of Trustees, advising on matters relating to operations of the Library.
