New! They key to using fitness equipment
Who: Coach Mindes Dorlean
When: Tuesdays & Thursdays | 8 to 11 a.m.
Evidence shows that exercise may help build and maintain bone density at any age by doing regular resistance exercises, such as lifting weights, two or three times a week. This type of weight-bearing exercise appears to stimulate bone formation and retain calcium in the bones that are bearing the load. The force of muscles pulling against bones stimulates this bone-building process, thus strengthening that bone.
Mindes Dorlean, is offering his guidance through the maze of fitness equipment to all Fitness Room members, age 50+. Coach Mindes has played and coached soccer at all levels including recreational, college and professional. He also received Coach of the Year honors at Brescia University.
