Solid Waste
The City of Carlsbad provides services for regular trash, also known as solid waste, through an exclusive contract with Waste Management. The city has recently switched to automated collection using new green technology trucks with less pollution.

Holiday Schedule
When a collection day falls on or after one of the holidays listed below, the collection day will be one day later than normal, Monday through Saturday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be NO delays. How to dispose of your holiday trees.

Self haul
Palomar Transfer Station, located at 5960 El Camino Real in Carlsbad, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information please call 760-603-0153.
