Southbound Carlsbad Boulevard closed until May, 2/8/2010
The southbound side of Carlsbad Boulevard between Palomar Airport Road and Island Way is closed while the City of Carlsbad replaces a 1920s-era bridge that no longer meets safety standards. The road is scheduled to reopen before Memorial Day.

Drought rules in effect for residents, 1/11/2010
Despite the cooler rainy weather, water use rules enacted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District are still in effect.
