ARTS BRAG

ArtsBrag is a newsletter published by the City of Carlsbad's Cultural Arts Office that includes information about art programs and events taking place in schools that serve Carlsbad residents. It is produced three times throughout the school year and is distributed to the teaching staff at Carlsbad area schools. It is also available at the Cole and Dove Libraries and at the Arts Office.

Many of the articles included in ArtsBrag are developed or written by members of the Arts-in-Education Advisory Committee, which is composed of representatives from the Arts Commission, city staff, community members, PTA representatives, teachers, parents, and school district representatives. Arts-in-Education Advisory Committee meetings are designed to encourage the exchange of information regarding arts-in-education issues, so that committee members can become effective advocates for arts programs in the schools and in the community.
