About TGIF Jazz

Summer in Carlsbad means TGIF Jazz in the Parks - a tradition that has truly become an integral part of the community's life.

Since 1986, the City of Carlsbad's Cultural Arts Office has been presenting free concerts of jazz in the city's parks during the summer. In 1986, there were four concerts, with about 150 people at each concert. During the 20th anniversary concert series in 2005, audiences were numbering close to 4,000 for each concert.

Concerts take place on Friday evenings, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., and begin in late June and run through the summer. The schedule of parks and bands is usually posted on the website by mid-May.

Time to upgrade to Acrobat Reader 7.0
