The Carlsbad Municipal Water District is in the process of preparing on an updated recycled water master plan document. The existing recycled water master plan was prepared in 1997 by Carollo Engineers. The existing master plan document was supplemented by the preparation of the Encina Basin Recycled Water Distribution System study dated May 2000.
The 2000 encina basin study provides a detailed analysis of the existing recycled water distribution system hydraulics, the recommended Phase II recycled water distribution system and the ultimate recycled water distribution system. In addition, the 2000 encina basin study provides predesign criteria for new recycled water pump station and recycled water storage improvements.
