Event Home Page CCPS 2005: Guiding Principles Welcome Hello and welcome to the "real-time record" of the City of Carlsbad's second Connecting Community, Place and Spirit Conference. This documentation was created during and after this one day conference conducted on November 2nd, 2005. The event was held at the conference center of the Grand Pacific Resort in Carlsbad, CA. We're once again pleased that you, as an individual stakeholder or representative of a North County community organization, are exploring these materials. If you were a participant at the event, the City and your fellow citizens owe you great thanks for your contribution of time, energy, creative thinking, and willingness to refine and apply the CCPS Guiding Principles to the future of Carlsbad.
About your Real-time Record This Real-time Record contains the text and graphic documentation that was done "real time" during the course of the conference. This record is not a transcript. The text and images were captured idea for idea, not word for word. The capture is based upon what the documentors heard and understood of the discussion. It is a chronological capture of ideas, data, information, and thoughts. How to Use this Record The record is best used as an information rich document. Mine it and continue to iterate ideas and solutions that appear here. You can click through it like a story by using the next button at the right of each page or you can jump from topic to topic using the navigation menu in the right collumn of each page. Use this documentation like an electronic notebook. Read it aloud, print pages, highlight them, add to them, make references, etc. The first time through it, look for the information and ideas that intrigued you and sparked your imagination during the event. Don't "proof read" it; instead, try to glean the value out of the information that is presented.
