CITY COUNCIL AND COMMISSIONS

City Council Meeting Information

The Carlsbad City Council meets on the first four Tuesdays of every month at 6:00 p.m. These meetings are held in the Council Chambers at Carlsbad City Hall, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, and are open to the public. The Council Meetings are also televised live on Tuesday night, on Time Warner Cable Channel 19, and replayed on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Copies of the videos of the Council meetings are available at the Carlsbad Library.

• City Council Agendas are prepared by the City Clerk's Department and are available on the Friday prior to the City Council Meeting.
• Agendas are available online, at the meeting, posted outside the Chambers, or can be picked up from the Clerk's Department.
• Current agendas and agenda items scheduled to go before Council, as well as public hearing notices are available online. (Click on the links to the right for current documents.)
• A limited number of items that have already gone to Council may be viewed through the city's Document Management System.
• Council Agenda Packets are also available for review at the City Clerk's Department and at the Cole and Dove Libraries, on the Friday prior to the City Council Meeting.
• Council Minutes are prepared by the City Clerk's Department and are the permanent record of proceedings of each Meeting and may be viewed through the city's Document Management System.

Other Meetings

The City Council also serves as the Municipal Water District Board, the Housing and Redevelopment Agency, the Public Improvement Corporation, the Industrial Development Authority and the Public Financing Authority.

These agencies hold meetings on an as-needed basis; Agendas and agenda items for these agency meetings are also posted and made available in the same manner as the City Council Meeting Agendas.
