SISTER CITY COMMITTEE

Membership

• Nine members appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, representative of the various elements of the community, such as business education, cultural and artistic, and service. Members normally serve four-year terms and must be residents of Carlsbad.

Duties

• Plans and implements programs which foster mutual understanding and goodwill between the citizenry of the City of Carlsbad and the citizenry of any city duly designated by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as a "Sister City". The Carlsbad Arts Office financially manages the Sister City Program. The Committee is responsible for all fundraising to support the program.
