Beach Preservation Commission

Membership

The commission of seven members. All members are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Members must be City of Carlsbad residents and normally serve four-year terms.

Meeting Times & Locations

Meetings are held at 4 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every even numbered month at the City of Carlsbad Council Chamber, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, CA  92008 .  Please check 2019-2020 Regular Meetings Calendar for schedule.

Duties

The commission investigates and reports on topics or studies related to beach and bluff (including lagoons and jetties) erosion, as directed by the city manager and City Council. (Source: City Council Resolution. 93-178, June 22, 1993.)
