BICYCLE LICENSES

The Carlsbad Fire Department offers bicycle licenses to the public every Saturday morning. To license your bicycle, renew a current license, transfer ownership, or change an address, visit one of six fire stations located in the City of Carlsbad on Saturday mornings only

The initial cost for a new bicycle license is $3.00. The annual renewal fee and a transfer of ownership is $1.00. There is no charge for a change of address. Payments can be made in cash or by check made out to the "City of Carlsbad."

Did you know the City of Carlsbad requires all bicycles to be licensed! It is to your advantage to get your bicycle licensed. When licensed, it is easier to trace a stolen or lost bicycle back to its rightful owner. Without a license, it is often difficult to get your bike back, even if found!
