FUTURE AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS

In addition to the existing affordable housing in the City of Carlsbad, there are also future planned rental and for-sale developments that will be affordable to low income households. The following information is a brief description of future planned projects. Detailed information, such as rental amounts, sales price, minimum and maximum income levels, etc., will be available from the builder when the project is set to begin the sales or leasing process. *Almost all Affordable For-Sale units will be affordable to households whose gross income does not exceed eighty (80%) percent of the San Diego County Area Median Income (AMI). |

Affordable For-Sale Units
Roosevelt Gardens
A new 11 unit affordable condo development in Carlsbad that will be targeting 50% of the San Diego County area median income. The Roosevelt Gardens site is situated at 2578 Roosevelt Street in beautiful downtown Carlsbad, just north of the Post Office. It is expected to be completed in late 2008. Rental Apartment Developments
Glen Ridge Apartment Homes
A 78 unit affordable housing complex in Carlsbad that will be targeting 35%, 50% and 55% of the San Diego County area median income. The Glen Ridge Apartment Homes are situated east of El Camino Real and north of Cannon Road in the Windmill Master Plan Community on the Robertson Ranch. It is expected to be completed in mid 2008. Future Project Information
With regard to future rental and for-sale affordable housing developments, the Housing and Redevelopment department maintains an interest list. When a project is being constructed, the list is given to the builder, who then will contact you. To be placed on the list, please Contact Us | Affordable Housing. In the body of the message, please include your name, mailing address and indicate that you are interested in learning about future rental and/or for-sale developments. If you do not have access to a computer, call (760) 434-2963 and ask to be placed on the interest list for rental and/or for-sale developments.
