Do You Suspect Fraud or Abuse of The Section 8 Rental Program?

If you suspect a tenant, owner or manager is committing fraud or abusing the Section 8 program, you can make a confidential report via mail, fax or by calling the Carlsbad Housing Agency’s 24 hour Section 8 Fraud Hotline.

To report suspected fraudulent activity by fax or mail Office Hours and Contact Information, please download or print the Suspected Fraud Report. Please be as detailed as possible about the suspected fraudulent activity including names and addresses.

It is not required you identify yourself. However, if you do leave your name and phone number, this information will be kept strictly confidential and may be helpful during the investigation. If you have any concerns regarding your privacy, please read the City’s Security & Privacy Policy.

Be assured that all reports are taken seriously and will be investigated in a timely manner.
