PROGRAMS AT DOVE LIBRARY

Book Babies (New!)
A new event for children age 9 months to 18 months. This twenty minute interactive caregiver/child one-on-one program introduces children to books, simple songs, and fingerplays. **Space is limited to the first 12 child/caregiver pairs! Please arrive early. **
Step-Up to Storytime (New age range!)
Now for children age 18 months to 35 months. This twenty-minute program will help children discover the joy of stories and song!
Storytime
For 3 to 5 year olds. Thirty minutes of thematic stories with songs and fingerplays.
All-Star Readers
After-school reading club for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. Introduces students to all types of books. A reading incentive program: the more you read, the more prizes you earn.
StoryCraft
Once a month event for ages 5 to 8. Storytelling with crafts related to the story. Signups required!
Storytime Theater
Two separate programs: one for children age 2, and one for children ages 3 through 5. Stories, songs and a puppet show related to the stories with occasional special guests.
Family Bedtime Storytime
For ages 3 and up. A once a month event (usually the last Monday of the month) for families with younger children. Thirty minutes of stories with songs and fingerplays. PJs optional! 6:30pm
Saturday Stories
For ages 2 - 6 years. A weekend storytime hosted by our library volunteers. 11:00am in the Storywell.
DataSearch
For ages 9+. A program for children AND their parents that explores a wealth of online resources for school and hobby projects. *Space is limited. Advance sign-up is required.*
Corps of Discovery
For children sixth grade and up. Participants will create PowerPoint slide presentations during this 3 session course. Bring in family photos, documents and other memorabilia to scan, photograph and insert into your presentation. We will burn a CD of your finished product for you to take home.
Homework Zone
For grades 1 to 12. Offering after-school and evening homework assistance. Call for days and times!
