YOUNG ADULT RESOURCES

The Young Adult area of the Carlsbad City Library focuses on materials for high school students.

Currently, both libraries have Young Adult areas that include fiction books, graphic novels, non-fiction books on teen topics, paperbacks, and booklists.

Other areas of the library also house many items of interest to teens:

Cliff's notes & Barron's notes
Career guidebooks
Magazines
College catalogs & class schedules
Exam preparation books (SAT, GED, ACT, AP exams, etc.)
Applications for financial aid for college (FAFSA)
Internet access

Teen Programs
Meet at the Dove library every Monday from 3:30-4:30 to hang-out, play games, socialize and have popcorn and drinks. The Readers Anonymous Book Club meets at the Cole Library every other Thursday from 3:30-4:30 to discuss books, have snacks, plan activities, and focus on issues of interest to teens.
