Vehicle Forcibly Taken from Victim

On October 27 at 8:37 p.m., the City of Carlsbad Police Department was called to the area of Estrella De Mar and Alga Road.  The caller, a 22 year old male, reported that as he started to enter his vehicle, an unknown male forcibly took the vehicle from him.

Officers responded to the area and located the victim.

The victim described the suspect as an unknown race male wearing unknown clothing.   

The victim further stated that he had just unlocked his vehicle when and an unknown male put a blunt object to the back of his head and demanded his keys. The victim gave the suspect the keys to the vehicle and the suspect left the area in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim sustained no injuries from the incident.  

The vehicle taken was a gold Honda Pilot with a California license plate #7VHB799.  

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect and vehicle. 

A search for the suspect and vehicle and an investigation into why the vehicle was taken is ongoing.
