Library Holiday Activities for All Ages

Carlsbad City Library is hosting festive events sure to get you in the holiday spirit this season. Programs are scheduled for kids, teens and adults. Participation is free, and sign-ups are required for some events.

Dec. 18
Gift of Giving Story Craft

Make this a special season and enjoy stories that celebrate the spirit of giving. Make a craft for someone special.

Holiday Concert
Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane
3:30 p.m., All ages
Come join the Carlsbad High School Carolers as they share songs of the season.  Seating is limited and first come, first served. 

Dec. 20
A Visit with Santa

Bring your camera to capture the special occasion.

Pizza and a Movie: The Nightmare Before Christmas (Rated PG-13, 133 min.) Sing-along
Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane
6 p.m., Grades 7 and up
Come watch and celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas, sing along and make a themed craft. Sign-ups required by calling 760-602-2038.

Dec. 21
Cultural Celebrations of the Winter Solstice
Library Learning Center
3:30 p.m., Grades 6 and up
The winter solstice is the shortest day, and the longest night, of the year. It has been celebrated with festivals and stories by different cultures for centuries. Join us as we celebrate the winter solstice with crafts, music and food.
