Dial 9-1-1 in an emergency

An emergency is defined as any situation in which there is an immediate threat to life or property and IMMEDIATE action or assistance is needed.

Examples of when to call 9-1-1

  • A medical emergency.
  • A break-in to a home.
  • A house or garage fire.

Emergencies affecting Carlsbad

In the event of a large incident, the City of Carlsbad will activiate the city's Emergency Operations Center. When the Carlsbad Emergency Operations Center is activated, details and information on the status of the incident will be posted to the Emergency Operations page.
