General Park Information and Map

The ranch is located just off Melrose at 6200 Flying LC Lane. From Interstate 5, exit Palomar Airport Road, proceed east past El Camino Real. Turn right on Melrose, right on Carrillo Way, and right on Flying LC Lane.

From Highway 78, exit San Marcos Blvd., proceed west. San Marcos Blvd. becomes Palomar Airport Road east of Rancho Santa Fe Road. Turn left on Melrose, right on Carrillo Way, and right on Flying LC Lane.

Park Hours

Summer Hours: Tuesday- Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm. Sundays, 11 am - 6 pm
Winter Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 9 am - 5 pm. Sundays, 11 am - 5 pm

*Summer and Winter seasons follow Daylight Savings schedule.
Closed Mondays and on all City holidays.

Guided tours are offered on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. Tours are also offered by special arrangement for groups and organizations. Call (760) 476-1042 to book your group tour.


Park Rules

  • No pets allowed. Dogs are prohibited in Carlsbad's parks.
  • It is unlawful to vandalize, damage, destroy, cut, injure, or remove any of the park's historic, cultural, and natural features. Carrillo Ranch is a designated local, State, and National Historic Landmark.
  • Children must remain under adult supervision at all times.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any City facility.

Donations

Citizens, companies, or service organization wishing to support the restoration of the ranch, or who have relevant furnishing, artifacts or memorabilia they would like to share with the public, may make gifts to the Carrillo Ranch Trust Fund.

Such donations can be in the form of cash, objects, property, or testamentary bequests.

Proceeds directly benefit park projects, such as the Barn Theater Restoration, and Interpretive Sign Program.
