STAGECOACH COMMUNITY PARK

The City of Carlsbad Recreation Department offers indoor and outdoor facilities that can be used by all types of organizations and private party occasions. Take advantage of some great facilities in your neighborhood.

Stagecoach Community Park offers topnotch facilities built to satisfy recreation enthusiasts throughout the community. The twenty-eight acre park has a community center, multi-use playing fields, active and passive play areas. The City Recreation Department has various instructional classes, Youth and Adult Sports leagues at the park. Community groups also use the park for sports leagues and organizational meetings.

Stagecoach is located at 3420 Camino de los Coches in the La Costa area of Carlsbad. For information on activities and programs available call (760) 602-4690.

The park has the following amenities:

	Community Center and Gymnasium
	A 17,400 square foot multi-use facility
	Ballfields
	Three lighted fields used for softball, baseball, soccer and football
	Basketball
	Four lighted half-court layout
	Volleyball
	A lighted sand court
	Tennis Courts
	Four lighted courts with windscreens
	Picnic Area
	A passive use lawn area with picnic tables, barbecues and two shade structures
	Tot Lot
	The sand lot features a variety of children's playground equipment, including a scaled-down version of a stagecoach to echo the historic background of the park.
	Historic Ruins
	Adobe remnants of a former stagecoach stop at Rancho Las Encinitas
	"Crown Lair"
	Art work consisting of five crescent shaped stone structures designed and built in 1989 by sculptor Lloyd Hamrol.
	Riparian Area
	A portion of the Encinitas Creek willow woodland retained as a wildlife habitat.
