Just for Teens
Life as a teenager can be tough. You face many complex personal and social issues, such as succeeding in school, planning for the future, dating, driving, and becoming an adult. And just like adults, you are at risk for becoming a victim of a crime, whether it's having your Ipod stolen, or being the victim of a cyber crime.
In order to protect yourself from becoming a victim of any kind, there are many resources to help you respond to threats to your safety such as dating violence, bullying, hate crimes, sexual harassment, and assault. What You Can Do
The National Crime Prevention Council's "Teens, Crime, and the Community" (TCC) initiative has motivated more than one million young people to create safer schools and neighborhoods. The program helps teens understand how crime affects them and their families, friends, and communities, and it involves them in crime prevention projects to help make their communities safer and more vital.
