Parent Toddler Classes

In the Parent Toddler classes, parents attend each day with their child for an introduction to a socialization and learn through play experience. Parent discussion topics are presented each day as part of the Toddler program. Parents agree to assist with bringing snack and paper supplies on a rotating basis.

Toddlers (age 1-2) meet one day a week. Class sizes are limited to 13 children per class.

Classes are offered at Calavera Hills and Stagecoach Community Centers, and Holiday Park Scout House.

Preschool

Parent and ToddlerWhile parents work in class as teacher's aides, they learn through observation and guidance from teachers how children learn best in a developmentally appropriate preschool program. Parents assist in Preschool classes 2-3 times during the session and bring snacks once per session. Parents must attend monthly parent education meetings once per session where current information in child development and early childhood education is presented. Kruger House parents must participate in 2 maintenance days per school year.

Classes run from September through June on a monthly basis. Students who enroll in the Preschool Program beginning in September will have the opportunity to remain in the program through the school year if re-enrolled by the priority deadline given for each session. There is a limited program for the summer at Holiday Park only.

Four year old classes meet three days a week, and Three year olds meet two days a week. Class sizes are limited to 13 children per class.

Classes are offered at Calavera Hills and Stagecoach Community Centers, and Holiday Park Kruger House.
