The City of Carlsbad works in partnership with the community. More than 2,000 community members have enriched their lives and the City of Carlsbad by volunteering. Assist Carlsbad to responsibly manage the city's resources by becoming a volunteer!

Volunteering allows residents to become a part of a team and view the city from the inside out. Ongoing opportunities include

• join your neighbors one Saturday a month to make our trail system great
• keeping up the pace of play at The Crossings at Carlsbad golf course
• delivering meals to homebound seniors

Volunteers are not required to commit to a consistent time. By joining the City of Carlsbad's volunteer pool, community members can match their availability to the city's volunteer needs.

The city also offers some unique ways to volunteer.

• Residents with special skills can join the Special Volunteer Action Team. 
• Those who would like to be in a position of leadership can apply for city boards and commissions.
