Family Open Studios are free art-making workshops designed for the whole family's participation. They are presented in conjunction with exhibitions at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery. There is usually one Family Open Studios program per exhibition, but check the schedule for details.
After a visit through the gallery, a specially designed art project related to the exhibition and suited to all age levels is presented in the outdoor courtyard. Assisted by professional artist/instructors, participants create works of art and then get to take those works home.
All materials and workspace are provided. Each workshop takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; no reservations are required and participants may arrive and depart at will.
Family Open Studios are free of charge.
