Summer Arts Camps
The Cultural Arts Office offers children a variety of summer arts camp experiences including Creative Arts Camp and Club Pelican. All camps are staffed by professional artists or educators, a camp aide and many energetic and talented volunteers. These camps are offered to children ages 7 to 12 years old. Camp brochures with full descriptions and registration forms are usually available at the Cultural Arts Office, both libraries and recreation community centers, by mid to late March.

Young campers hike the trails of the Batiquitos Lagoon; explore animal habitats, lagoon birds, native plants, insects, and geology; and then create artworks inspired by what they observed in this beautiful natural setting. This camp meets daily, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This fun-filled camp, led by both a naturalist and an artist, is held in partnership with the Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation.
