Teen Open Studios presents two top groups from the 2012 Carlsbad Battle of the Bands, each performing two 30-minute sets!
The Otters are an art-surf band formed by Mikey Carnevale and Richard Dotson, best known from local groups MonoMood and The Cricks. Their influences include Vampire Weekend, Ty Segall, Dirty Projectors, The Smiths and The Drums.
The pop-rock quartet Emergency Shut Off – Kelsey (vocals), Emily (drums), Zachary (guitar) and Charlie (bass) - calls itself the “parental unit proclaimed #1 teenage band in the world” and plays original music plus covers from Paramore to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
