Full Deck: A Short History of Skate Art Oct. 7 – Dec. 30, 2012
Since the first graphic was drawn onto a board, the culture of skateboarding has grown hand-in-hand with visual arts. This exhibition presents over 275 skateboards, skate decks, plus dozens of photographs and original artwork from the 1960s to the present. The eye-catching images on these skateboards are one of the purest forms of self-expression: highly personal and created without artistic boundaries – just like skateboarding itself. |
