The piece consists of a trio of figures, presumably a family, golfing. The front of the tableau is facing the building of the golf club and the back is facing the practice putting green. All figures have an even dark brown patina. The figure on the proper right is a young male standing with his weight shifted back and his arms crossed across his chest. The young male is gazing at the older male figure, who is the central focus of the group. On the proper left side of the boy is a golf bag. The older male figure at the center is in the process of putting with his body in a contorted hunched position with his legs slightly bowed. On the proper left of the scene is a female figure with her proper left arm on her hip and leaning on the club in her proper right hand. Her face is tilted upwards and she is laughing.
