Schools and a quality education are important in Carlsbad. In fact, 87 percent of Carlsbad’s elementary schools rank nine or 10—the highest rankings available—on www.greatschools.org.

World Class Educational Opportunities

City Council has prioritized attracting world class educational opportunities as a strategic goal for the city. Economic development is leading this initiative and has conducted preliminary research on benefits of higher education to the local community as well as models for higher education recruitment that have been implemented throughout the country.
