The Carlsbad Fire Department Honor Guard represents both the Fire Department and the Firefighter’s Union Local 3730.

The Honor Guard is composed of 10 to 15 members with ranks from battalion chief to firefighter/paramedic, all of whom dedicate themselves to drill and ceremony etiquette, in order to present the colors in a respectful and military manner.

The mission of the Honor Guard is to provide distinguished representation of the Carlsbad Fire Department and Firefighters Local 3730 at community events or other locations, as requested. The Honor Guard also serves in the event of an active firefighter or retired firefighter’s passing.

The Carlsbad Fire Department Honor Guard has performed at many civic events including various September 11th memorials, San Diego Padres home games, parades, and firefighter and law enforcement funeral processions.
