The City of Carlsbad offers a wide range of housing choices, from single-family detached homes to multi-family complexes. Carlsbad’s inclusionary housing program mandates that 15 percent of all new development is designated as affordable housing. Carlsbad also offers a Rental Assistance Program for low-income families.

A new proposed development, Pontebello, is a senior housing development that has been proposed in the neighborhood of Aviara and in the southwest area of Carlsbad.  To learn more about the development, call the Planning Division at 760-620-4600.
