The Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium is a multiple-use facility designed for a wide range of programs and presentations. The facility is used predominantly for individual speakers and panel presentations. Although not designed as a performing arts theater, the space is also used for small-scale performances such as play readings, concerts and author lectures.
The auditorium is equipped with voice amplification and a variety of technologies to support presentations.
The George and Patricia Gowland Meeting Room offers a flexible furniture layout to accommodate different room configurations such as classroom, lecture or panel discussion. A portable lectern, equipped to handle laptop plug-in, sound system with mounted microphone and DVD/VCR player are available for presentations.
The room features a ceiling-mounted projector that displays video and data images on a front-projection screen. Voice amplification is provided via a lectern gooseneck microphone and a portable table microphone and is distributed through ceiling speakers. Overhead transparencies and 35 mm slides can also be projected on the drop-down screen.
