Parking available at Carrillo Elementary with entry into Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park through the school field.
Leo Carrillo Rancho is the perfect back drop for this festive step back in time. This Wild West event brings cowboys to Carlsbad with western music, western photo backdrops, a mechanical bull ride, Rodeo Roper activity, pony rides, and more. There is also a salsa contest where you can either compete or taste. A $3 salsa tasting wristband and $5 Activity Card is available for purchase at the event. Bring the entire family out for an exciting afternoon at Leo Carrillo Ranch. Activity cards and wristbands are required for some activities and can be purchased at the event.
Food, beverages, and merchandise will be available for an additional cost.

How are your salsa making skills? Want to test out your talents? This is the perfect venue to host this recreational competition is a great way to meet people, get creative, and just have fun. Contestants need to provide salsa and whatever decorations to spruce up your table. We will provide the rest (bowls, ladles, chips, cups and napkins). Prizes are award on salsa and presentation. Map and directions to Leo Carrillo Ranch
Parking available at Carrillo Elementary School with entry into the park through the school field.
There is limited parking as well as disabled parking in the Leo Carrillo Historic Park parking lot. There is additional parking at Carrillo Elementary School with walking access to Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park through the school blacktop and field. Look for signs leading to the park. There is a parking exception from 11 to 2 p.m. on May 18 for the north side of Carrillo Way starting at Flying L.C. Lane to Rancho Caballo allowing parking in the "no parking zone." The south side of Carrillo Way will remain a "no parking" zone.
