Traditional Kidz Camp and Pee Wee Camp are always quick to sell out. Top Chef returns by popular demand this summer as well as Fliptime gymnastics, Junior Golf camp, Super Moverz, Dodge Ball and Ultimate Soccer Camp fill your summer with fun, excitement and more great memories.  

Try something from a long list of innovative new camps like Fort Building 101, Spa-tastic Camp for girls, Go Skate Skateboarding, Digital Game Days, Adventure Laser Tag, Footloose and Happy Feet dance camps as well as an all new Go GREEN camp series of recycling and conservation programs. 

Sample what Carlsbad Parks & Recreation has to offer you next summer.   Please join us April 7, 2012 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Poinsettia Park for the summer camp kick off preview.  Bring the whole family and enjoy the EGGSTRAVAGANZA which offers a wide variety of free activities provided by Enrichment summer camp programs.  You and your family will enjoy the event activties as well as opportunities to meet camp instructors, enjoy free demos, try something new and see what's coming to your neighborhood this summer!

Spring Camps

 Three boys cookingEnrichment camps offer a variety of half day camp programs that provide specialty programs like adventure, art, cooking, performing arts, sports & fitness and science & adventure camps. Traditional camps offer a full day and half day camp with a mixture of many diffrent activities, themes, and trips. All our camps provide a safe environment where your child can build positive relationships, make new friends and have fun. Enrichment camps are provided by contract instructors with specialized education or training, while traditional camps are run by city staff. Each child is required to provide a completed medical release form on the first day of camp.

Top Chef (7-12 years), April 9-13, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., Harding Community Center

Wonders! Science Camp #6 Young Explorers (4-6 years), April 9-12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Magee Park

Wonders! Science Camp #6 (6-12 years), April 9-12, 1- 4 p.m., Magee Park

Master Your Sport Jr. Sport (4-6 years), April 9-13, 9 a.m.- 12 p.m., Poinsettia Park

Master Your Sport Multi-Sport (7-13 years), April 9-13, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., Poinsettia Park

Coast Coast Soccer (4-14 years), April 9-13, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m., Poinsettia Park

 

City-Staffed Traditional All Day & Half Day Camps

kids jumpingTraditional camps are offered during the spring and summer breaks, in conjunction with the Carlsbad Unified School District calendar. We offer programs for ages 3-15 years that include arts & crafts, sports, water play, teambuilding, field trips, and so much more.  These camps sell out every year so register early.

  • Pee Wee - ages 3 to 5
  • Kidz - ages 6 to 11 *5 year olds will be allowed with supervisor approval
  • Explorer - ages 11 to 13 *10 year olds will be allowed with supervisor approval
  • CIT (teens) - ages 13 to 15
