Alga Norte Community Park will be a vibrant new addition to southeast Carlsbad, featuring a diverse array of amenities for all ages that complement the changing needs of Carlsbad's active residents.
The park site is being graded to prepare for the park’s eventual construction. Although the city has set aside money for the park’s construction, the city has not authorized construction to begin because it has concerns about the money needed to operate the park, given the current economic recession.
The 32-acre site is located east of El Camino Real, bordered on the south by Poinsettia Lane and on the east by Alicante Road.
