Topics discussed are as varied and as stimulating as the people who gather. The moderator presents topics selected by the group and “directs traffic," generally keeps commentary moving along.
Five-in-One Joy class: Wednesdays, from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Using the five elements: flower design, high tea, silence, classical music, and micro muscle manipulation, this class teaches the true meaning of joy that comes from both inner peace and physical wellness.
PC Users group: Meets 2nd, 3rd & 4th Thursdays, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Senior Readers Theater: 1st & 3rd Mondays, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Readers Theater is telling stories to local elementary schoolchildren using a script. No need to memorize the parts. Meets off-site, call 760-602-4650 for more information.

Level I - Mondays, from 9 to 10 a.m. For newcomers and beginners, with emphasis on pronunciation, diction and grammar.
Level II - Mondays, from 10 to 11 a.m. For intermediate students, with focus on advanced grammar and sentence structure.
Level III - Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. For advanced students, with focus on reading and conversation.

Trade, show and tell, learn stamp values, and talk stamps with other stamp collectors. Open to all philatelists, new and experienced.

Make music a part of your life to enrich and lighten your heart. Share the fun and joy of playing this instrument with your family and friends after only a few short lessons. As students progress, students will learn traditional Hawaiian melodies, along with favorites from The Beatles and other "oldies," as well as country and other favorites. $5 requested materials donation.
Writers group: Mondays, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Attendees write stories about family history, WWII adventures, childhood memories, business experiences and more. The class provides an open forum in which everyone is encouraged, but not pressured, to share their work.
Writing Our Lives: Tuesdays, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Each week in a friendly supportive environment, students will be given prompts to encourage them to mine their memories and tell their own stories, leaving writers with a legacy for their family. Writing Our Lives is a creative and empowering adventure.
Sandy Carpenter, a local resident and retired newspaper journalist, will assist the beginner, and if desired, critique the more advanced writer. This class uses hand-out tips, guides and memory-joggers to help students find the step-by-step approach to shaping their stories.
