The Carlsbad Triathlon and Wellness Weekend takes place July 7 and 8. The event kicks off with a Community
Wellness Expo on Saturday, rolling into the 31st annual Carlsbad Triathlon on Sunday offering the business community two distinct marketing opportunities: event sponsorship and expo exhibitor. Become an event sponsor in order to receive all the benefits of two full days of activities.
Businesses are invited to join the festivities of the Community Wellness Expo on Saturday, July 7, which targets the local community looking for information, demonstrations, products and activities all geared around health and wellness. Vendor booths, entertainment, seminars/clinics, and other activities are located in the southwest corner parking lot of the Westfield Plaza Camino Real. The Wellness Expo is also the packet pick up location for the 1,000+ athletes participating in the Carlsbad Triathlon held on Sunday, July 8. Vendor's display products, promote services and sell merchandise in conjunction with a great branding opportunity.
Sunday, July 8, marks the 31st annual Carlsbad Triathlon where over 1,000 athletes will take to the Pacific Ocean in a 1K open water swim, finishing on the coast with a 25K bike and a 5K run. There are plenty of sponsorship opportunities along the course with exposure to over 4,000 spectators at this exciting event.

Marketing exposure
The 2012 Carlsbad Triathlon will offer its business partners tremendous community exposure and provide on-site sales. Advertising and promotions of the event are achieved through print, media and web-based campaigns leading up to the weekend's events.
Expected attendance
This year's projected attendance is based on attendance at previous events:
- Saturday's Health and Fitness Expo: 2,000 - 2,500
- Sunday's triathlon race: 3,000 - 5,000
- Volunteers: 210+
