Fall 2013-14 Youth Basketball Leagues For Boys & Girls 1st-8th Grades
For Grades 1 through 8
Boys leagues
An all boys leagues are offered for 3rd-8th Grades. Leagues for Stagecoach Gym are offered and if their are not enough teams to fill a league, the league will be combined with the Calavera Hills Gym teams. Stagecoach teams will practice at Stagecoach Gym and play most games at Calavera Hills, if leagues are combined.
Girls leagues
All-girls teams are available for leagues 3rd-8th Grade.
Pee Wee Division Coed
Is for boys and girls in 1st & 2nd Grades. This league is coed with boys and girls playing together.
League play
Practices begin in November. Games begin in December. Season ends in February.
More than 500 youth in grades 1 through 8 participate every year. Registration is now open. Space is limited, so sign up to ensure a spot.
Registration can be completed online, by mail or walk-in to any community center. To register online, go to www.carlsbadconnect.org, and enter the class identification number. Printed forms are also available at any community center or library. Once registered, all players must attend an evaluation session for team placement.
Fees: $110 Carlsbad resident and $120 non-Carlsbad resident

Once registered, all players must attend an evaluation session for team placement. Evaluations will be held on the following dates and locations:
Mandatory parent meeting
One parent from each participant must attend a mandatory parent meeting the day of your child’s evaluation.

- All players must be evaluated at one of the scheduled evaluation times.
- Payment must be made at time of registration.
- No requests will be granted for special times or for a specific coach.
- Practice and game times are final.
- Once teams are created, no requests for changing of teams will be allowed.
- Head coaches will not be able to protect the assistant coaches' children.
- Requests for carpool or friends to be on the same team will not be accepted.
- Games will be played at Stagecoach and Calavera Hills gymnasiums.
- Practice and game times will not be changed due to other activities you or your child may have during the youth basketball program.
- Teams may play a few games during a week night evening.
- Majority of games will be played on Saturdays.

All volunteer coaches must go through the T.R.U.S.T. training in November and must be fingerprinted before participating. Parents must sign a code of ethics promising to adhere to the T.R.U.S.T. sportsmanship philosophy.
