The city’s military banner program provides an opportunity for the community to celebrate the achievements of their military loved ones with a hometown salute to our military heroes.
The patriotic banners hung along presidential streets in the Village celebrate members of the United States Armed Forces who are Carlsbad residents or have immediate family residing here. The stars on each of the banners are symbolic: the white star is an honor of active duty and deployed members of the military. A gold star honors soldiers killed in combat.
