Chairs. The front center section is restricted to low-backed chairs (seat 8 inches or less from the ground). In all other sections, it is recommended to bring low-backed chairs.
Umbrellas. Umbrellas can be used until 6 p.m., then all umbrellas or shade structures of any kind must be taken down. The only exception is along the back fence.
Aisleways. For safety, audience members may not stand, sit or dance in the aisles. The dance floor in front of the stage is reserved for dancing, grass areas are reserved for seating.
Children and Families. Children are always welcome, but please keep a watchful eye on them and keep them with you at all times. Any young artists visiting Family Open Studios must be accompanied by an adult.
Code of Conduct. Any conduct that is not specifically noted by these rules is prohibited during TGIF events if it interferes with, or disrupts another visitor’s peaceful enjoyment of a performance, endangers public health or safety, may damage park property, or is prohibited by applicable federal, state and local laws.
No Pets. Pets are not allowed in city parks at any time, and any on-site dog parks will be closed at 3 p.m. on concert days. Service animals as defined by Title II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act are welcome.
Recycle. Please do your part by separating empty bottles and cans from trash and placing them in blue recycle bins. This helps keep the parks clean and reduces landfill waste.
Prohibited Items and Activities. Items and activities that are not allowed at any time during TGIF Concerts in the Parks:
Smoking or vaping of any kind is prohibited within city parks at any time
Bicycles inside concert venues. Bike racks are available at the entrance of every park
Banners or large signs
Personal barbeque pits or grills of any kind
Weapons or drugs of any kind
Carlsbad MunicipaI Code 11.32 defines unlawful acts in Carlsbad parks and beaches. During TGIF concerts, violations of the Municipal Code will be enforced. Important highlights include:
Sales of any items (both for profit and non-profit) are not allowed without a valid permit issued by the City Council.
Distribution or posting of any handbills, circulars or advertising devises is prohibited. Conduct or solicitation of any business is prohibited.
Individual groups are not allowed to arrange for privately catered on-site food or beverage service within concert boundaries.
