Tamarack Area Drainage Improvements

Crews to finish construction, repaving and striping on Tamarack Ave.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 10, crews will be returning to Tamarack Avenue to finish construction between Valley Street and Park Drive. Work hours are 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tamarack Avenue and Valley Street will remain open in both directions with narrowed lanes and traffic control on Tamarack Avenue. Park Drive will be closed from Tamarack Avenue to Monroe Street, and the sidewalk on the north side of Tamarack Avenue between Park Drive and Valley Street will be closed. All crosswalks will remain open.

This final construction on Tamarack Avenue will cause traffic delays in the area. Motorists are encouraged to avoid Tamarack Avenue in this area and take an alternate route.

Once construction is completed, crews will finish final paving and striping on Tamarack Avenue.

This project will improve storm water drainage in the area by upsizing and consolidating existing drainage systems and adding new pipeline. Additional drainage infrastructure will be constructed to improve storm water flow and safety conditions for vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic during heavy rain events.  After the pipeline is constructed, the roads will be restored and resurfaced. The project will be completed in early 2019.
