Tamarack Area Drainage Improvements

Construction Update

Starting July 9 construction work hours are expanded to 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. No parking is permitted on Tamarack in the construction zone between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The expanded working hours will help ensure construction between James and Park drives is completed on time before nearby schools are back in session.

This project will improve storm water drainage in the area by upsizing and consolidating existing drainage systems and adding new pipeline. Additional drainage infrastructure will be constructed to improve storm water flow and safety conditions for vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic during heavy rain events.

After the pipeline is constructed, the roads will be restored and resurfaced. The project will be completed in early 2019.

Construction on Tamarack Avenue between James and Park drives is scheduled during summer to reduce traffic impacts. This section of Tamarack Avenue is heavily traveled during the school year to access the area’s five schools. The bike lane will be closed and there will be no parking in the construction zone on Tamarack Avenue during summer.
