In early July 2016, the City of Carlsbad began work on the Roosevelt Street Storm Drain Improvement Project, a series of storm water drainage improvements along Roosevelt Street between Laguna Drive and Beech Avenue in Carlsbad Village. Crews will install a new storm drain pipe along the west side of Roosevelt Street, as well as make some sidewalk and street improvements. When completed, the new system will accommodate increased water capacity and help alleviate flooding in the area. Construction is expected to last approximately three months and will occur Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., although work schedules are subject to change. During construction hours, on-street parking will be restricted in the area, and vehicles must be removed prior to the start of work each day.
Two-way traffic will be maintained on Roosevelt Street.
No parking on either side of Roosevelt Street during construction hours. s expense.
Some work may result in limited access to individual driveways during construction hours.
In the event your driveway will be impacted, you will be notified in advance of the construction.
