Carlsbad residents may dispose of up to five bulky household items at no charge three times annually. Residents must call Waste Management at 760-929-9400 at least 24 hours in advance of their normal collection day to schedule a pick-up. Watch a video on how to dispose of bulky items.

Residents may schedule additional pick-up appointments, which cost $35 for the first item and $5 for each subsequent item.

*Electronic waste (televisions, computers, etc.) is now included in the bulky item collection program.

Special handling

• Carpet cut down to 4 ft. in length and bundled (one roll)
• Gym set disassembled and bundled for easy handling
• Mirrors wrapped properly
• Swing set disassembled and bundled for easy handling
