Tips and Help

Welcome to Carlsbad @Your Service. Here are some quick tips to help you get started.

 Website Version

  • Visit www.carlsbadca.gov/fixit
  • Select the request type from the drop down menu.
  • Enter the location or drag the pin to the spot on the map.
  • Describe the problem (the more details the better).
  • Add a photo if you can (you can add more later too)
  • Click submit.
  • Create a login if you want to receive updates about the progress of your request.

 App Version

  • Get the free app from your apple or android app store.
  • Tap “Submit Request” or press the plus sign.
  • Select the request type.
  • Enter the address, use your current location or drag the pin to the spot on the map.
  • Press next.
  • Add a photo if you can, either by taking a photo or attaching a photo you’ve already taken (you can add more later too)
  • Describe the problem (the more details the better).
  • Answer any additional questions, and submit.
  • Create a login if you want to receive updates about the progress of your request. You can use your Facebook login or sign up with an email address. If you don’t want to track your request, tap “Skip.”

Where can I download the app?

The app is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play store.  

I don’t see the type of problem I want to report.

Check the city website for information on how to report problems you don’t see on the app. For emergencies, always dial 9-1-1.

 Do I have to use this new system?

Nope. If you'd rather just call or email city staff without using the app, here's a list of contact information

I have feedback about the app.  Where do I send it?

Do I need to create an account in order to submit a service request?

Most types of service requests can be submitted without creating an account.  The login screen will be presented after you press submit.   Click the Skip button to continue without logging in. Some service request types do, however, require that you login.  These are requests where city staff will likely need to contact you in order to complete.

What will you do with my contact information?

We’ll only use it to contact you about the status of your request. We won’t share it or sell it or do anything else to compromise your privacy.

Why can’t I report code violations and other stuff?

We’ll be adding more categories as we go. For now, we started with the most requested services.
