Citizens may request the removal of a City tree by submitting the request in writing to the Street Tree Maintenance Division. The letter must include the location of the tree and the reason for the removal. Upon receiving the letter, a City arborist will inspect the tree and recommend in writing the approval or denial of the request. If the tree removal is denied or approved, anyone may request a formal appeal to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The fee to request an appeal is $120 per appellant. The fee is reimbursed to the appellant if the Parks and Recreation Commission approves the appeal. All tree removal requests must be mailed to the following address.
