What is E-Waste?
The rapid advances in new technology and demand for new electronic equipment has increased the generation of "old" electronic equipment otherwise known as "E-Waste". Electronic waste consists of televisions, monitors, printers, computers, cell phone, fax machines and other electronic equipment.
Proper disposal of "E-Waste" through recycling and reuse prevent them from reaching landfills. Carlsbad Residents can help reduce waste by taking E-Waste to one of the following locations:

Cost: FREE for televisions and computer monitors
All other items: $0.50 per pound

(Services provided by Clean Harbor)

Hours: Saturdays 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.

Cost: FREE
Clean Harbors also operates a Door-to-Door Collection Program.
This service is ideal for those who do not want to carry equipment to the above sites. There is a $10 co-payment. You will need to make an appointment.
