The City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of special events for the community to enjoy. The department is responsible for two special events functions: creating special events for the public's enjoyment and event permitting for events on city property.

This event has been canceled.

Unfortunately, the city has canceled the April 26 Pinechella event. Several bands dropped out late in the planning process, and we want to ensure the event offers a full and fun experience for participants.

Staff are exploring options to reschedule Pinechella for fall 2025, with more details to come. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at a future city event.

About the event
Pinechella is a music festival designed just for high school students, featuring live performances by local teen bands, fun contests, lawn and carnival games, photo booths, flower crown crafting, henna artistry and food vendors.
