The City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of special events for the community to enjoy. The department is responsible for two special events functions: creating special events for the public's enjoyment and event permitting for events on city property.

Family Movie Night

  • Location: Stagecoach Community Center & Park

  • Introduction: Bring family and friends, a blanket and low-back chair to Stagecoach Community Park for a night of fun activities and a movie presentation on the big screen under the stars.

Bring family and friends, a blanket and low-back chair to Stagecoach Community Park for a night of fun activities and a movie presentation on the big screen under the stars.

  • Enjoy a movie-themed FunZone with bounce houses, obstacle races, crafts, games and activities from 5 – 7 p.m. Activity cards are available for sale at the event for $8.
  • A special movie presentation on the outdoor screen will start at dusk.
  • Food and beverage sales available between 5 – 7 p.m. Menu items: pizza, nachos, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn.

Event may modify or cancel due to inclement weather.
