Carlsbad celebrates Arbor Day with volunteer tree planting

The City of Carlsbad is dedicated to supporting the development of our urban forest, which provides a variety of benefits to the community. In recognition of Arbor Day, the city is organizing a volunteer tree planting event on Saturday, April 29 from 8 am to 10:30 am. Volunteers will work together to plant 25 trees at Cadenica Park. The event will include a tree-planting demonstration and informational booths.

This week, the city also recognized Arbor Week with a proclamation from city council. This is the 19th consecutive year that the City of Carlsbad has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S.D.A. Forest Service.
